If you're new to the Eastside BeltLine, here's the shorthand: Ponce City Market is the tourist stop, Krog Street Market is where locals eat, and the Krog District — the few blocks around Krog Street between DeKalb Ave and Irwin — is where you end up when you're not trying to make a whole thing of it.
That last part is us. And we're only here through the end of the year, so if you've been meaning to come by, don't sleep on it.
The neighborhood, quickly
The Krog District is a small stretch — a couple of blocks, really — anchored by Krog Street Market on the north end and the BeltLine cutting through it. Within a five-minute walk you've got Fox Bros. BBQ, Hop City, the new Nando's PERi-PERi that just opened at Krog Street Market, the Patagonia store, the new YETI flagship, and a rotating lineup of retail and food that keeps refreshing without losing the character.

Why people actually stay here
Ponce City Market is impressive. It's also crowded, expensive, and a full commitment — you park, you fight through people, you're there for two hours minimum. Krog Street Market is smaller and looser. You can pop in for lunch at Superica or grab a drink at Hop City's Krog Bar and be back on the BeltLine in 20 minutes.
The Krog District extends that same vibe outward. You can bike in from Inman Park, Cabbagetown, Reynoldstown, or Old Fourth Ward. Parking is easier than PCM. And the mix of tenants — food, retail, coffee, running clubs at Stove Works on Tuesday nights, FP Movement 5Ks on Saturdays — means there's always a reason to swing through even if you didn't plan to.
Where LikeMinds fits
LikeMinds is a pop-up. That's the first honest thing to say. We took over the enormous space that used to be BrewDog, and we're running it through the end of 2026 as a full-scale operating restaurant and bar — not a soft launch, not a placeholder, a real room that opens at noon and closes at midnight.
The team behind it: Kelly Campbell (Westside Motor Lounge), the crew from Smith's Olde Bar, and our friends at Frazie's Meat & Market who built the sandwich program. What we're testing here — a Frazie's sandwich menu, smoked wings, Funk Brunch on weekends, weekday lunch specials for $12, and The Turn (our Golfzon simulator lounge upstairs) — is going to inform what comes next. This is the version people get to enjoy first.
We're not trying to be the destination. We're trying to be the place you land when you're already in the neighborhood. Big difference.
If you're planning a Krog day
Here's an honest itinerary that works most weekends:
- Coffee + BeltLine walk — Grab a coffee at Little Rat inside Patagonia, walk the BeltLine 15 minutes each direction.
- Lunch at Krog Street Market or LikeMinds — Fox Bros., Superica, Nando's, or our $12 weekday lunch special. Pick your fighter.
- Afternoon drink at LikeMinds — We're two blocks from the BeltLine. Sit outside if it's not 95 degrees.
- The Turn if it's raining — Book a bay upstairs, hit balls for an hour.
- Dinner back at LikeMinds — Sandwich program runs all night. Kitchen open until 10pm, bar until midnight.
The point isn't that any one place is the reason to come. The point is that all of it stitches together into something that feels like a neighborhood, not a marketing plan.
